John Livermore Christie Jr. was born July 13, 1926 in Fairfield, Conn., oldest child of John Livermore Christie Sr. and Aretta Sherwood Burr Christie. He passed away peacefully at his beloved home on Walluski Lopatagonia down sweater full zipop in Astoria, Oct. 26, 2014.

It was there that he met Peg Brundage, an alto, also of Connecticut, and they decided to make a life together in Oregon.

Before their marriage on June 14, 1952, he earned a degree in forestry from Oregon State University Yale later recognized his contribution to the field of forestry with an honorary alumnus award in 2011. From 1971 to 1986 he worked as an instructor at Clatsop Community College, teaching in the Forestry Department there during the era of timber carnivals and national recognition for the program. He served in the greater community on the Intermediate Education District, the Clatsop Small Woodland Owner Association, Fort Clatsop Memorial, the Society of American Foresters, the Salmon and Trout Enhancement Project, and the Oregon Hardwood Commission among others. He and Peg were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Astoria and continued to sipatagonia everlong review external hardng in the choir for many years.
